Empowering Youth Through Vocational Training

Youth unemployment remains one of the biggest challenges facing Rwanda today. At Zion Foundation Rwanda, our Youth Empowerment program is addressing this challenge head-on by providing young people with practical, marketable skills.\n\nOur vocational training centers offer courses in ICT, tailoring, carpentry, welding, and modern agriculture. Each course is designed in consultation with local employers to ensure that graduates have skills that are in demand in the job market.\n\nBeyond technical skills, we provide training in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and life skills. We also connect graduates with mentors and provide seed funding for those who want to start their own businesses.\n\nThe results have been encouraging: over 300 young people have graduated from our programs, and 75% have either found employment or started successful businesses. Our graduates are now contributing to their families and communities, breaking the cycle of poverty.\n\nWe are planning to open two additional training centers in 2025 to serve young people in the Eastern and Northern Provinces.
