Livestock Program (Chickens, Pigs, Goats)

The Livestock Program at Zion Foundation Rwanda is designed to equip women and youth with practical skills in small-scale animal husbandry, focusing on chickens, pigs, and goats. This program addresses both food security and income generation by providing participants with hands-on training in animal care, breeding, feeding, and disease management.

Participants learn modern and sustainable farming practices that maximize productivity while minimizing costs. The program also includes training in business planning, enabling beneficiaries to turn livestock farming into profitable micro-enterprises. In addition, Zion Foundation supports access to starter livestock, veterinary guidance, and local markets.

Through this initiative, families improve their nutrition through access to eggs, milk, and meat, while generating steady income from sales.
